The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has released an internal memorandum detailing important dates and academic activities for the 2025/2026 Harmattan Semester. The document, endorsed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Moji T. Bakare-Odunola, serves as a timely reminder to all academic staff and students.
1. Conclusion of Harmattan Semester Lectures
Lectures for the Harmattan Semester will officially end on Friday, 16th January 2026. All departments are expected to wrap up their lectures on or before Friday, 9th January 2026.
2. Upload of Continuous Assessment (CA)
Departments are reminded to ensure timely upload of Continuous Assessment (CA) scores in accordance with the academic schedule. Specific deadlines will be communicated through the appropriate channels.
3. Portal Access for CA and Result Uploads
The university portal will be accessible for the upload of Continuous Assessment (CA) scores and other approved results from Monday, 19th January to Friday, 23rd January 2026.
4. Lecture-Free Week
To facilitate the smooth processing of academic submissions, the period 19th–23rd January 2026 has been declared a lecture-free week. No lectures are to be held during this time.
5. Harmattan Semester Examinations
The Harmattan Semester examinations are scheduled to commence on Monday, 26th January 2026, and conclude on Friday, 13th February 2026.
The University of Ilorin strongly encourages all staff and students to comply strictly with these dates as outlined in the approved academic calendar.
