JAMB Announces 2025 UTME Registration, Exam, Mock Dates, Cost, and Key Details.

JAMB has announced that the 2025 UTME registration will commence on January 31st and conclude on March 5th, 2025. This update was provided by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during a meeting with media executives in Lagos on Sunday.

The sale of Registration PINs will end on March 5th, 2025, with registration closing on March 8th, 2025. Candidates interested in taking the mock UTME must register and show their interest by February 23rd, 2025. The sale of Direct Entry application documents and e-PIN vending will take place from March 10th to April 7th, 2025.

The Mock-UTME is scheduled for April 5th, 2025. The main UTME will commence on April 25th, 2025, and finish on May 5th, 2025.

Age Limit and New Mock-Trial Test for Younger Candidates.

In addition, JAMB will introduce a mock-trial testing examination for candidates who may not qualify for admission into universities, polytechnics, or colleges of education due to being under 16 years of age.

The Board will enforce the 16-year age limit for this year’s UTME registration. However, exceptionally gifted candidates below 15 years old may still register. To be eligible for admission, these candidates must score at least 280 marks in the UTME and excel in the Senior Secondary Certificate and Post-UTME exams.

Registration Costs and Categories

JAMB has also announced that the cost of registration will vary, with four categories of e-PINs based on candidates’ interests and financial capabilities:

– Mock Only Trial Testing (for underage candidates) – ₦3,500
– Direct Entry Application – ₦5,700
– UTME Only (without Mock-UTME) – ₦7,200
– UTME with Mock-UTME – ₦8,700

The breakdown of the application documents includes:

– UTME/DE JAMB Application Fee (same as previous year): ₦3,500
– Reading Text: ₦1,000
– CBT Centre Registration Service Charge: ₦700
– CBT Centre UTME Service Charge: ₦1,500
– CBT Mock Service Charge: ₦1,500
– Bank Charges: ₦500
– CBT Mock-UTME Centre Charge: ₦1,500

Candidates must specify the type of e-PIN required at the time of purchase, as there will be no refunds after purchase.
