JAMB clarified it has no role in NYSC mobilisation delays for ND Part-Time and HND Full-Time graduates. It doesn’t handle HND admissions and urged ND Part-Time graduates to obtain admission letters via its Non-Regularisation portal. The statement aims to correct misconceptions and direct graduates to the proper institutions for resolution.
JAMB Distances Itself from NYSC Mobilization Delays
On November 6, 2025, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) issued a public clarification via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @JAMBHQ, addressing persistent confusion surrounding its role in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization process—particularly for graduates of National Diploma (ND) Part-Time and Higher National Diploma (HND) Full-Time programmes.
JAMB emphasized that it plays no part in any delay or obstruction of NYSC mobilization for these categories of graduates. The Board made it clear that it does not process or regulate admissions into HND programmes, which fall under the purview of individual polytechnics and awarding institutions. Furthermore, while JAMB manages admissions into full-time ND programmes, it does not oversee ND Part-Time admissions, which are typically handled internally by institutions through non-regular channels.
This clarification was prompted by recurring complaints and misconceptions among graduates, many of whom mistakenly attribute NYSC mobilization delays to JAMB. In its statement, the Board reiterated:
> “Attention, ND part-time, HND full-time graduates! Please be aware that JAMB plays no role at stalling your NYSC mobilisation. For the record, JAMB has no hand in admissions into HND programmes, and for your part-time ND programme…”
JAMB also reminded ND Part-Time graduates that they are required to regularize their admissions through the Board’s Non-Regularization portal to obtain valid admission letters—an essential step for NYSC eligibility.
The Board urged all affected graduates to direct their concerns to their respective institutions or the NYSC itself, as these are the appropriate bodies responsible for resolving mobilization issues. This move aims to dispel misinformation and streamline the process for graduates preparing for national service.
