UNIABUJA admission into institute for legislative studies, 2020/2021
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes in the Institute for Legislative Studies (ILS), University of Abuja, for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.
The available programmes are as follows:
A –MASTERS:
Legislative Studies
Legislative Drafting
ParliamentaryAdministration
Applicants seeking admission into the Masters programme must possess the following:
Postgraduate Diploma in any discipline from a recognized university, with at least upper credit (for example 3.5 – 5.0 on the scale or 60% on weighted average).
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of Second Class Lower
Minimum of five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings from any recognized examination bodies, such as SSCE, WASC, GCE, O- Level, NECO, NABTEB
Candidates are advised to request their former Institution(s) to send their academic transcript to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Abuja, otherwise, their application may not be processed.
Duration: This programme shall last for a minimum of 18 (Eighteen) months
B –POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA:
Legislative Studies
Legislative Drafting
Parliamentary Administration
Applicants seeking admission into any of the above programmes must possess the following:
Bachelor’s degreein any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of Second Class Lower. However,holders of HND with at least a Merit grade may be considered
Candidates with a Third-Class degree may also be considered
Minimum of five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings from any recognized examination bodies, such as SSCE, WASC, GCE, O- Level, NECO, NABTEB
Duration: This programme will last for a minimum of 12(Twelve) months Candidates should request their former Institution(s) to send their academic transcript to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Abuja, otherwise, their application may not be processed.
C- DIPLOMA:
Legislative Studies
Applicants must have a minimum of: five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings from any recognized examination bodies, such as SSCE, WASC, GCE, “O” Level, NECO, NABTEB.
Duration: This programme will last for a minimum of 24 (Twenty Four) months
D –CERTIFICATE COURSE:
Legislative Studies
Applicants must have a minimum of: five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings from any recognized examination bodies, such as SSCE, WASC, GCE, O- Level, NECO, NABTEB
Duration: This programme will last for a minimum of 6 (Six) weeks
